For the hot summer days, a salad is the best option to enjoy as a meal, and which could be fresher than Majorca’s own Trampó salad.
A Trampó salad is a traditional Catalan dish made with a base of bread, tomatoes, peppers, and onions.
It is usually served with a vinaigrette dressing, and sometimes includes other ingredients such as olives, hard-boiled eggs, or tuna.
This recipe is for a traditional, no-fuss Trampó salad that you can have ready in under 10 minutes!
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 3 tomatoes (as juicy as possible)
- 2 Majorca green peppers
- 1 onion
Preparation
To prepare it all, what you need to do is:
- Chop the onion, green peppers and tomatoes (better if peeled and without seeds).
- Then mix all the ingredients with olive oil and salt.
If you want to prepare this salad as the only dish to be served, our advice is to also add to the mix either chickpeas, or tuna and capers, or olives, or a boiled egg.
