X Cycling Event Trencagarrons Majorca

Every year the ascension to the highest mountain of Majorca is organised in September.

In this event, you’ll have the unique opportunity to access the last 7 kilometres of the top of the mountain which belongs to the Spanish army and it is usually closed to the general public.

And also to enjoy the company of the Majorcan Black Vouchers which usually accompany the riders on the climb.

Anyone over 16 years old and in good physical shape can participate in this event which is not necessarily competitive, but if wished can punctuate towards the Challenge Race.

There are usually around 400 vacancies for the event with a fee to be paid on the inscription.

Early in the morning in Alcudia, all the preparations start so at 09.00 hours the event starts setting off towards Pollensa and the Monastery of Lluch which takes approximately 2.5 hours.

Then the road continues towards the reservoir Gorg Blau to start the ascent to Puig Major, arriving at the top to enjoy views of the whole of Majorca at your feet in 2 hours time.

Then start the way down back to Lluch to take the road to Selva, Campanet, and finally back to Pollensa and Port d’Alcudia, with a total duration of 2 hours and a meal being offered at arrival.

In 2011, a special offer for friends and family is arranged to follow the event by bus all the way to the top of the mountain.
