RoadBike Festival and Mallorca Classic Cycling Route

The ‘RoadBike Festival‘ is an organised event to bring together the cycling industry and cyclists by sharing experiences with professionals, testing new materials and organising excursions.

The event will be held in Playa de Palma at the Bierkönig centre and it is organised by MPS, a German publishing company. It will be also sponsored by Bicycle Holidays, Max Hürzeler and Unisport Consulting.

The closing event for the festival which will be held on the 10th of April is the ‘Mallorca Classic‘.

The ‘Mallorca Classic’ is a cycling route of 153KM through the hardest cycle routes in Majorca but is not planned as a race or competition. In 2010 there were 383 participants and this year more people are expected. Some ex-professional cyclists are expected to participate this year, such as Eric Zabel and Bruno Risi.

Registration to participate in this event will cost between €35 and €50. These prices include insurance, participant number, event chip, water, breakfast, lunch and certificate of completion.

The ride will start at 10:00AM in front of the Pabisa Beach Club in Playa de Palma (the expected duration is 5.5 hours).

Neutralised Route (protection from road traffic) – Playa de Palma, S’Aranjassa, Llucmajor, Algaida, Santa Eugenia, Sencelles, Inca, Selva

Free Route* (no protection from road traffic) – Caimari, Coll de Sa Batalla, Gorg Blau, Coll Puig Major, Soller, Coll de Soller, Santa Maria, Sa Cabaneta, S’Hostalot, Sa Casa Blanca, S’Aranjassa, Playa de Palma
