Palacio March (The March Palace) – Palma de Mallorca

Whilst enjoying the musical feast of the March Foundation concerts you can also take in the history and architecture of your surroundings.

The Palace was constructed between 1939 and 1945 with the help of numerous artists and professionals of the time.

The land is surrounded by Palma Cathedral, the Almudaina Palace and the Balearic Islands Parliament, right in the centre of Palma.

The whole palace is a wonder to visit, but especially the Honor Patio, which is the Mediterranean style reception area.

The garden at the top allows a beautiful viewpoint toward the heart of the city.

In the palace, there is a permanent museum with an excellent modern and contemporary sculpture collection.

In this collection you’ll enjoy pieces from:

  • Henry Moore
  • Barbara Hepworth
  • Max Bill
  • Pietro Consagra
  • Agustín Cárdenas
  • Miguel Ortiz Berrocal
  • Francisco Otero Besteiro
  • Xavier Corberó
  • Eusebi Sempere
  • Eduardo Chillida

You’ll also have the opportunity to visit three special collections of old documents, antique books and exquisite artistic bookbindings from artists such as Brugalla and Palomino.

In the Palace, there is also one of the best navigation card collections in the world, made between the 14th and 15th centuries in Majorca.

Usual opening times in summer are Monday to Friday from 09.30 to 14.00
